I provide full-service general management for commercial, nonprofit, regional, and developmental theatre productions.

Budgeting and Finance Management

  • Develop, manage, and oversee production budgets from initial planning through closing

  • Create cash flow projections, forecasts, financial reports, and budget updates

  • Oversee payroll and related financial processes

  • Use financial analysis to evaluate options, anticipate challenges, and support informed producing decisions

  • Assess the financial impact of rehearsal schedules, staffing needs, production elements, ticket sales scenarios, and other key variables

  • Balance artistic ambition with fiscal responsibility

  • Manage contingency planning and help producers prepare for unexpected costs

  • Provide clear financial insight so producers can make confident decisions

  • Help keep productions financially healthy and on track at every stage

Contracts and Labor Relations

  • Oversee the contractual and labor framework that allows productions to operate smoothly and compliantly

  • Negotiate and administer agreements for artists, creatives, production staff, and key personnel

  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment terms

  • Work closely with producers, artists, unions, agents, and legal counsel

  • Manage contracts, deal memos, payroll obligations, pension and health contributions, and required filings

  • Negotiate and administer agreements with Actors' Equity Association (AEA), IATSE, United Scenic Artists (USA 829), the American Federation of Musicians (AFM), the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), and SAG-AFTRA

  • Address contractual questions and workplace issues proactively

  • Help create a collaborative, well-organized environment where producers can focus on creating exceptional theatre

Production

  • Partner with producers to build and support the creative and production teams for each project

  • Identify and hire directors, designers, stage managers, and key production personnel

  • Negotiate with agents, representatives, and creative team members

  • Assemble collaborative teams aligned with the artistic vision and financial goals of the production

  • Work closely with Production Management to oversee schedules, budgets, and resources

  • Support efficient production processes while maintaining high production values

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative working environment

  • Create the conditions for artists and staff to do their best work both onstage and behind the scenes
